How it all began
LiVegan Fit-Driven brand began as a fitness journey. I wanted a sports bra that I could wear to show off my vegan pride. After searching the internet, I couldn’t find one that I liked so I decided to create my own.
LiVegan is a grassroots company, so the products are still evolving as they are being tested and feedback is received.
We currently offer custom hooded sports bras, shaker bottles, hats, sleeveless hoodies, and are in the process of testing fitness pants for production. Each product is Made in the United States to ensure no workers are harmed or exploited in the making.
Being Vegan is not just about what you put into your body, but about the ethical choices you make on a daily basis. There is a sense of pride in living Vegan that includes sacrifice, passion, and a strong moral compass.
Through the testing and manufacturing of my products, I spent an incredible amount of time tailoring several different variations until I felt each one possessed high quality, comfort and wearability.
LiVegan was founded by Mona Chmeis of Austin, Texas.
A Few Words From Mona
Growing up in a semi-traditional middle eastern family, I was very Americanized. My father came here as an immigrant and started from the ground up. He now has a successful Austin business that has instilled a strong work ethic in me and my siblings. A huge part of our culture is centered around family and food. Growing up, meat was a big part of our diets. As I researched more and more, I decided to take the leap and become Vegan and I’ve never been healthier or happier. The Vegan Community in my city is very passionate about animals and their rights. We are proud to wear the badge of a compassionate animal supporter. As you become more aware of what you put into your body, you begin to recognize the improvement to your body’s health and fitness. After seeing there were little to no completely cruelty-free fitness products, I decided to make my own so that anyone who wants to wear that badge of pride can follow that path to self-improvement. I will continue to pursue my goals of defending animals and hope to someday own an animal sanctuary and rescue facility.
